Deliverables

Communication and dissemination plan

Plan that guides and facilitates communication and dissemination of results to NextGEMS six stakeholder groups. (Task 10.1)

Training strategy and support of gender equality; Hackathons ToR

This deliverable has two components: 1) Training strategy for young scientists and science programmers, description of the strategy at all Beneficiaries concerning the support for gender equality in academic and science; 2) Description on Hackathons Terms of References (ToR) and the implementation of the 1st Hackathon to clearly demonstrate the objective, structure, selection procedure, participants invitation, financial support and other information relevant on Hackathons organisation and implementation. The report will also reflect the outcomes of the Hackathon. The 2nd part of this deliverable (Hackathon) will serve as a handbook for the development and implementation of further Hackathons. (Task 1.1)

First report on KPI for quality assurance of the project

1st assessment of the implementation of project using the KPIs, this will be attached to the interim technical report as well. (Task 1.2)

Report on Cycle 2 hackathon, including implementation of renewable energy diagnostics

This report will describe the outcome of the Cycle 2 hackathon, in which stakeholders will be invited to contribute to the implementation of online diagnostics for wind power production in the SR-ESMs. (Task 4.5)

Report on Cycle 1 hackathon

This report will describe the results of the first hackathon in which the scientists and solar energy community work together in setting up high frequency data logging at relevant sites for estimation of (trends in) potential for solar power production. Also stakeholder input on relevant variables for logging will be acquired and implemented. (Task 8.5)

Refining the set of KPI for quality assurance of the project

Six Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) have been defined for quality control of the implementation of NextGEMS. These KPI’s provide a management tool to assess progress and changes, both qualitatively and quantitatively. At the beginning of the project, the 6 KPIs will be refined and the planned implementation of the KPIs will be described in details in this Deliverable. (Task 1.2)

Report documenting Task Readiness Review

This report will describe the improvements to SR-ESMs in Cycles 1 and 2 (including output, and workflows) and will assess readiness for the final preparations for the production simulations. (Task 2.4 and 2.5)

Report summarizing experiences and recommendations (workflow stock-taking) of Cycle 1 and 2 Hackathons

This report will document the experiences regarding the use of the SR-ESM simulation analysis workflow at the Hackathons (what worked what did not work) and the recommendations made by Hackathon participants to improve these workflows. (Tasks 2.1 and 2.3)

Coproduction plan

Plan that details the knowledge coproduction activities that will be conducted in the project, primarily in hackathons and pilot studies. (Task 10.1)

Development of cooperate identities and templates

Project logo, templates for dissemination activities, reporting templates and other relevant images to be co-designed by LT & MPI-M, this shall be applied by the consortium members. (Task 1.5)

Project website

The important mechanism to inform everyone including the consortium members about the work, development and results of NextGEMS. The website will contain Vblogs as a new element. (Task 1.5)

Documentation on the high-frequency data logging with a list of the included sites

This documentation will describe the software developments that allow to perform data logging at high frequency at chosen locations and will provide instructions how to do this.. The documentation will provide a list of sites for which the logging will be enabled. (Task 8.3)

Release (publishing in the sense of DOI provision) of Cycle 2 Simulations

A subset of the data from Cycle 2 simulations will be attributed a DOI and will be made available to the NextGEMS consortium and the wider scientific community. (Task 2.2)
