Novel Evolutionary Model for the Early stages of Stars with Intelligent Systems

Data Management plan will address the relevant aspects of making data FAIR findable accessible interoperable and reusable including what data the project will generate whether and how it will be made accessible for verification and reuse and how it will be curated and preserved

Project internet portal online (s’ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre)

The project internet portal as a major gateway for communicating the major activities and results of the project will be created

Outreach module: visualization material of star forming regions (s’ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre)

We will create visualisation graphics and videos through online platforms such as ESASky WWT or the Milky Way 3D project We plan to combine our science data and produce colorcomposite images based on all starforming regions studiedIn addition we aimto use the parallax and kinematic information of Gaia together with Spitzer and Herschel data in order to render realistic 3D representations of starforming regions Due to their interoperability with other platforms for amateur telescopes and portable planetaria WWT modules are widely used to outreach activities worldwide To support these outreach actions we include 3 additional PhD months at UNIVIE

Communication of NEMESIS science to the public (s’ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre)

We will share and diffuse our fascination for our science to the wider public. We will develop an outreach module for school presentations, useful for teachers and scientists going into school classes. We will give public outreach talks locally, will diffuseour results via press releases to be picked up by the international media. The science addressed by NEMESIS is fascinating, the relevance of which is easy to explain to a very broad audience.

Novel evolutionary model of YSO formation, including formation timescales. (s’ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre)

We here aim to consolidate the results from all work packages in order to answer our central questions on the formation and early evolution of stars and the associated timescales. Based on the compiled observational data (WP 2) and the classification criteria produced with the use of ML techniques (WP 3) we will conclude on the main evolutionary transformations of YSO and will constrain the role, importance and duration for each phase. We will thus update the main YSO Classes, introducing when necessary new phases and classification criteria that will reflect the physical transformations revealed from the data. Most importantly, our compilation of the largest, most complete and unbiased sample of YSO will ensure that these criteria will be less affected by systematic errors.

Summary of organised international conference (s’ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre)

We will organize a scientific conference to share and discuss our results with the star and planet formation community. We include funds for the organization of this international conference in Hungary, under the lead of KONKOLY. These funds will help keep the registration fee low and fund registration waivers for participants requiring financialhelp. We will propose further sessions at large conferences of broader audience, such as EAS Annual Meetings. We will provide invited and contributed talks, and show posters, at major European/overseas conferences.A summary of the meeting including the most important results and contributions will be prepared as means of verification.

Determination of the influence of the environment in star formation (s’ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre)

The sample size will also determine the accuracy of the timescales describing the evolution, as such determinations are based on number statistics. This new evolutionary scenario will need to be placed into context with our current knowledge of the timescales for the formation at different scales in the solar system, from the families of solids in meteorites, up to the formation of gas giants and the rocky planets.

Dissemination of multi-wavelength datasets (s’ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre)

Dissemination at the end of the project of all compiled, panchromatic datasets.

Online dissemination of NEMESIS results (s’ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre)

We will put our data, including ML scripts and classification outputs, online for public access. A searchable database will be setup at UNIGE. We will further write papers describing the compiled data set properties, the ML techniques used and their outputs, the supervised and supervised classifications and associated attributes, and the novel evolutionary model. We expect to publish at least 10 papers in top-ranking journals.
