Science Transformation in EuroPe through Citizens involvement in HeAlth, coNservation and enerGy rEsearch

CORDIS provides links to public deliverables and publications of HORIZON projects.

Links to deliverables and publications from FP7 projects, as well as links to some specific result types such as dataset and software, are dynamically retrieved from OpenAIRE .

Deliverables

Lessons learnt on training and mutual learning activities and outcomes (opens in new window)

The result of the analysis will be delivered in the Lessons learnt on cross-cutting analysis of training and mutual learning activities and outcomes that will be ready in a draft version and a final version.

Experimental campaign report and policy brief (opens in new window)

Adopt a comprehensive approach that will take into account multiple information, such as the degree of fragmentation of the landscape, timeframe (using both data already collected since 2006 and the newly available information), and ecological characteristics of the area.

Policy brief on Citizen Science role in ID outbreaks in Italy and Europe (opens in new window)

The involvement of research decision making bodies (e.g. conference of rectors, Ministry of Research) will, therefore, be the key target. The strategy will be co-designed by organising two workshops - one dedicated to strategy co- design and the other dedicated to strategy co-writing. Finally, the strategy will be delivered and presented in a final seminar at Tor Vergata University (Rome).

Taxonomy of citizen science interventions for ID outbreak preparedness (opens in new window)

The citizen science component of the team will actively participate in a selecting and summarising CS cases and b in the design of the taxonomy KI will contribute to this task by providing a preliminary design of the taxonomy based on the collection of already existing taxonomies The outcome of this task will be a taxonomy of citizen science interventions for ID outbreak preparedness

Policy Brief on NAFLD research and citizen science (opens in new window)

Participating partners: TGI, NIHR and OUXF. Based on the outcomes of this public dialogue and of the experiment, a policy brief will be drafted and delivered.

Policy Brief on Up-scaling the adoption of Renewable Energy use in Rural Ugand (opens in new window)

The policy brief will be presented in a high- level seminar with decision-makers at the national level. The activities of this task will benefit from the active participation of citizen scientists and of a contribution of ZSI as supporting partner.

Detailed research experiment design and tools (opens in new window)

Research design will develop and it will include both the clinical trial and the wellbeing and lifestyle survey

Report on Experiment on hepatic lipid metabolism in NAFLD patients with Citizen Science (opens in new window)

"Participating partners: OUXF, NIHR and TGI. Results of the ""Lifestyle survey"" among the participants in different times in the project before the beginning of the experiment."

Policy brief 2 (opens in new window)

Policy brief (general) at the end of the project.

Case Studies on RE adoption in agriculture in Uganda (opens in new window)

A short report, summarising the result of the focus group will be drafted. The information collected in this task, together with those collected in task 6.2. will be summarised in the Collection of Case Studies on RE adoption in agriculture in Uganda.

Wildlife data collection software (opens in new window)

Application for tablets smartphones or other devices for easy wildlife data collection The application will be developed as an easy tool for the involvement of nonprofessional citizens

Strategy for Citizen Science in ID outbreaks preparedness (opens in new window)

The dialogue will be devoted to co-design a strategy for citizen science ID outbreaks preparedness for Italy. The co-design process will involve different stakeholders: researchers, policymakers, businesses and citizens organisations, following a quadruple helix model.

Lessons Learned on the potential of Renewable Energy for productive use in Rural Uganda (opens in new window)

Based on the data collected. a cross-case analysis will be conducted for identifying the overall impact of the empowerment actions on RE in agricultural sectors analysed in collaboration with K&I as supporting partner. Based on the analysis, a set of lessons learned will be drafted.

Model of R&I socialisation through citizen science (opens in new window)

The model will have both analytic and operational use and will be addressed mainly to R&I policymakers and STS students providing fresh insights of how citizen science approach can produce new forms of socialisation of R&I. For developing the model: i) a scoping review of the literature will be conducted (M24-M28); ii) a skeleton of the model will be inductively and deductively designed (M29-M32); iii) a cross-case analysis will be conducted (M32-M34) and iv) The final Model will be drafted and levered (M34-M36). The Model will be presented at the final seminar of the project (T10.6).

Final output, a policy brief will be delivered on how energy sharing may be adopted, developed and upscaled in the light of energy citizenship.

Study design, protocols and plans (opens in new window)

The study design will contain monitoring objectives site locations survey areas and priorities

CSI3 - research reports activities and results (opens in new window)

Report of the survey with different energy-related lifestyles of residents, including house and mobility consumptions. The survey will collect both quantitative and qualitative information about the lifestyle of residents (including attitudes, selection of energy provider, gender roles/responsibilities, and intersectional differences).

Policy brief 1 (opens in new window)

Policy brief (general) after the first reporting period.

Citizen Science Navigator (opens in new window)

The input of the project, under the leadership of ECSA and with the support of all the partners a Citizen Science Navigator will be developed . The Navigator will be a reflection tool printed and in PDF format for supporting and guiding interested researchers in discovering and applying a citizen science approach in different fields. The navigator will contain both theoretical and practical insights on whether and how citizen science can be successfully applied to a research project/area.

Collection of cross-disciplinary research-plans (opens in new window)

Co-design cross-disciplinary CS joint research agenda between couples of partners. Based on lessons learned and evaluation evidence developed in the project.

Final report on communications (opens in new window)

"The final conference will be organised in four sessions: an introductory session, a session dedicated to ""societal anchorage"" (i.e. the alignment of societal and territorial actors in the citizen science initiatives), a session dedicated to ""trans-disciplinary"" anchorage (effective and just dialogue within the team between scientists and citizens) and a session dedicated to ""Institutional anchorage"" (the embedment of CS in research institutions). The document and report will be prepared."

Project website (opens in new window)

The site will provide a platform for detailed information on the project and its progress for consortium partners and relevant stakeholders.
