Description du projet
The Demolition & Construction (D&C) industry waste is the largest waste stream in the EU (1/3 of all waste produced). The D&C industry was identified as a priority waste stream by the European Union. ALTAROAD is leveraging its patented hardware and artificial intelligence platform to address the challenge of optimizing the industrial truck traffic and introducing new standards for the green D&C industry, with the aim of reaching the EU 70%-recycled-material ambition.
Cofounded in 2017 by 3 female funders with complementing backgrounds, ALTAROAD has a green DNA and generated paid contracts from Day 1 with clients from the construction industry such as VINCI, EIFFAGE, FAYAT, LAFARGE, ECT. The business model is a flexible volume-based subscription. Spin-off from a joint research team, ALTAROAD has been prized with the Deeptech startup competition in 2018 and I-NOV by ADEME in 2019.
The ALTAROAD solution enables the required transformation of D&C sites flow by leveraging 4 pillars : a strong change management culture, an open platform accessible to all actors of the value chain, a disruptive AI engine, and a unique combination of cameras and patented connected devices adapting to all sites configuration, and an innovative business model. By reducing the environmental impact, improving traceability, recycling, increasing onsite safety and providing financial benefits, ALTAROAD brings in a solution that reconciles all stakeholders of the value chain as shown in support letters from the Ministry of Ecological Transition, Grand Paris (largest construction site in Europe) and industrial actors.
With the help from the EIC accelerator, ALTAROAD is now ready to take over the European market and its 120 000 large construction sites, with the aim to cover 10% of them by 2028 and become a force of change for a sustainable industrial mobility.
