Project description
A holistic structural analysis method for conservation of cultural heritage structures
The conservation of monuments and historic buildings is necessary to preserve our cultural heritage for future generations. However, this is not always easy. The aim of the EU-funded HOLAHERIS project aims to make the safeguarding and protection of cultural heritage structures less expensive, faster and more reliable. Specifically, it will develop innovative integration of 3D documentation data for rapid numerical model generation of the structures. It will also develop innovative integration of structural health monitoring and numerical modelling for decision-making in conservation. In addition, HOLAHERIS will explore advanced numerical procedures for the seismic assessment of historical buildings, accounting also for material degradation due to environmental actions.
