Promouvoir l’importance de la recherche sur le changement climatique
Les sciences jouent un rôle de premier plan dans la résolution des défis environnementaux mondiaux. Le projet LEAF, financé par l’UE, augmentera la sensibilisation du grand public à l’importance de la recherche et de l’innovation et améliorera la confiance dans le travail des chercheurs. Pour ce faire, il fera participer les citoyens à la science et encouragera les jeunes à se lancer dans des carrières scientifiques. Le projet s’articulera autour des thèmes liés à la chaîne alimentaire, à la biodiversité, à l’économie circulaire, à la pollution zéro, aux environnements sans toxicité et à la santé relevant du pacte vert pour l’Europe. En adoptant une méthode pratique et amusante pour comprendre la recherche sur le changement climatique, ces thèmes rendront la science pertinente aux yeux de tout le monde. LEAF mènera des activités dans 11 villes d’Italie.
Objectif
The main objective of the LEAF (heaL thE plAnet's Future) project is to increase the awareness on the importance of research and innovation and improve trust in the researcher's work by effectively involving the society in experimenting science through 400 hands on events focused on a set of EU Green Deal selected topics (Farm to Fork, Biodiversity, Circular economy, Zero-pollution, toxic-free environments, Health & Wellbeing). The main goal is to make science accessible and fun to everyone, thus generating a practical understanding of how to cope with climate change issues. The LEAF project will be developed in 11 cities in Italy, thus involving 31 partners with a series of events happening between 20 to 25 of September 2020. The final result will be a relevant increase in the awareness of why and how the researcher's work is relevant for the benefit of our current and future planet, as well as effectively encouraging young people in embarking in scientific careers by generating a real impact on science.
