Deliverables
The aim of the Data Management Plan is to ensure best practices for data management with regard to data security, storage, availability and accessibility according to the FAIR principles. In the DMP it will be specified, which data types are collected and generated, which standards will be used, and how the data can be exploited. For each main data type produced by the project, the plan will define how it will be made accessible for public use and further analyses in accordance with the FAIR principles.

Initial Data Management Plan (opens in new window)The aim of the Data Management Plan is to ensure best practices for data management with regard to data security, storage, availability and accessibility according to the FAIR principles. In the DMP it will be specified, which data types are collected and generated, which standards will be used, and how the data can be exploited. For each main data type produced by the project, the plan will define how it will be made accessible for public use and further analyses in accordance with the FAIR principles.
For the Quality Control Plan a reporting scheme and a progress-monitoring template will be prepared, according to which each Task and WP leader will inform about the progress. In the beginning of the project a quality control plan will be established, which will be implemented by using internal peer-review of each deliverable and milestone.
Policy target map (opens in new window)Map of EU, national and sub-national policy goals and targets. At EU, national, and sub-national level, goals and targets are set by different policy sectors (forest, climate, nature conservation and others) relevant for silvicultural systems. Targets are formulated to support the achievement of these goals often related to specific years (2030, 2050 or 2100).
Status of internal communication systems (opens in new window)Status on the internal communication systems in relation to effective and efficient means of communication within the project and with the Commission.
Design alternatives of a consistent field survey (opens in new window)Documentation of design alternatives of a consistent field survey based on advanced field data collection approaches and methods for improved estimation of carbon fluxes. Based on information on existing European forest monitoring systems that collect field data, a consistent field survey and plot design will be developed that supports the existing systems.
Status on Land System Map (opens in new window)Status on Land System Models that are creating future forest scenarios based on the demands for forest management regimes.
Initial characteristics for mapping and estimation platform (opens in new window)Description of the initial technical characteristics of the mapping and estimation platform for:- Fetching and preprocessing of remotely sensed data - Fetching and preprocessing of auxiliary datasets- Input of field data and extraction of remote sensing variables- Model creation or re-parametrization- Model application to mapping and estimation of target variables with uncertainty quantification- Dissemination
