Probing the impact of integrity and integration on societal trust in science

Deliverables

Research Integrity and Quality Assurance Plan

A Research Integrity and Quality Assurance Plan for the project in order to ensure a shared and consistent understanding of responsible research practices in the context of the POIESIS project The plan will include an outline of monitoring procedures and will ensure that internal reporting including gender distribution in line with gender mainstreaming is maintained

Protocol for the participatory research actions

A succinct protocol outlining all steps of the research activities in WP3 including design of participatory research methods identification and recruitment of participants and implementation Taking into account early output from Task 12 the protocol will ensure that the design will allow flexibility and tailoring towards locally salient aspects of the phenomena studied within POIESIS This task involves the preparation of informed consent forms information letters and all elements related to appropriate handling and storage of data

Protocol for small scale case studies

A succinct protocol for the design selection criteria recruitment and implementation of the cases studies in each of the seven countries represented in POIESIS This includes the approach to translating and transcribing the results of the public consultation and expert interview elements of WP2 but also the design and implementation of the survey experiment

First/Initial Policy brief

Brief report on research and recommendations for nonexpert audience to provide evidencebased policy advice to help readers make informed decisions

Data Management Plan

Data Management Plan for POIESIS which will specify all procedures for data curation storing and reporting in accordance with FAIR principles Moreover the task will provide a server hosting of data from all WPs for the duration of the project and enable appropriate data storage for a fouryear period after the project is completed

Protocol for stock-taking and synthesis

A succinct protocol for collecting analysing and annotating data from different sources This will include procedures for curating data on public attitudes towards science and research with special focus on Eurobarometers and national surveys of public attitudes to science as well as review of sources on cocreation formats The protocol will also outline our approach to covering and analysing data on researchers perceptions of and engagement with responsible and irresponsible research practices eg varieties of QRPs and crossnational data on how organisations contribute to chains of mediation between science and citizens The protocol will be made openly available except for cases of personal data WP1 will mostly make use of existing anonymised data sets The WP leader will ensure that the protocol is submitted to ethical review

Recruitment and engagement strategy

A recruitment and engagement strategy which will be continuously refined with stakeholder inclusion throughout the duration of the project Importantly the strategy will specify the POIESIS approach to recruiting participants to WP1 WP2 and WP3 research and cocreation activities and will develop a strategy and roadmap for how to keep research participants engaged with POIESIS to become part of a network of stakeholders who will also be of crucial importance in relation to the projects dissemination and communication objectives

Plan for Dissemination and Exploitation, including Communication activities

A report on the stakeholder analysis and mapping exercise in order to augment and draft an initial version of the POIESIS DEPC and facilitate the engagement of stakeholders The mapping will be based on established networks of all POIESIS partners and will result in a basic POIESIS network to be iteratively enlarged in collaboration with the POIESIS coinvestigators T32 and all research participants involved in the POIESIS empirical programme

POIESIS branding: logo, aesthetics, website, and social media presence

The project website will be developed and curated by NTUA with all partners contributing to the content POIESIS website will stay online for at least 3 years after the end of the project The website will include detailed information on the project its beneficiaries and associated stakeholders who funds it and what its main aims and objectives are The site will keep partners related stakeholders and wider audience informed about the projects progress and give access to reports deliverables publications and policy briefs as soon as they have been approved by the EC or can be made available through Open Access In conjunction with the website an active social media presence will be maintained to achieve the targets quantified as KPIs
