Deliverables

Report on Communication and Dissemination v1 (opens in new window)

The deliverable contains the first overview of the communication and dissemination activities carried out during the project and communication materials produced.

Socio-economic context and relevant needs (opens in new window)

The deliverable contains a conduct a thorough analysis of the wider socioeconomic context and relevant needs in Europe, including aspects such as: the need for a science literate European society; the need for more and highly educated European scientists; the need to encourage more interest in science; the need to draw the right lessons from the experience of the COVID-19 pandemic; the interconnections between all the above needs and major EU policy areas.

Policy context for STEAM (opens in new window)

The deliverable will depict the policy context related to STEAM education, bothrelated to formal (schools) and informal contexts, by documenting past and present efforts conducted by National, international and institutional bodies, and group them with respect to their target audience, selected instruments (e.g. courses, digital material, competitions, etc.), effect size and duration.

The Road-STEAMER community (opens in new window)

This deliverable describes the community of stakeholders involved in the project. The project will systematically engage members of all stakeholder communities from different parts of Europe in all processes of Road-STEAMer. This will be achieved by drawing on all consortium partners’ extensive networks and numerous previous and running projects with strong stakeholder engagement elements (including the networks of almost 1,400 school communities across Europe of the OSOS and SALL open schooling projects). Overall, at least 1,500 individual members of the Road-STEAMer community from at least 8 countries (Austria, Belgium, France, Greece, Italy, Malta, Netherlands, UK) will be closely engaged in the project processes.

Report on Dissemination and Communication v2 (opens in new window)

The deliverable contains the second overview of the communication and dissemination activities carried out during the project and communication materials produced.

Project management handbook (opens in new window)

The report summarizes the project management procedure set up by the coordinator, the PM tools and roles envisaged, the planning of PM meetings and milestones, ethical issues considerations, and standard templates for deliverable and interim reporting.

Science learning and society dialogues (opens in new window)

This deliverable describes the implementation of the science learning and society dialogues, which are knowledge exchanges in physical and digital spaces regarding the interactions of STEAM with various aspects of science education of current interest.

The Road-STEAMer toolbox (opens in new window)

The deliverable will be a final, user-friendly, set of graphically designed summaries of all results, gained experiences, evaluation findings and policy recommendations of the project. This modular set of professionally produced publicity materials allows different members of the stakeholder community to find the summary of information as well as inspirational best practices and success stories they need to embark on new or sustain their existing science education activities.

STEAM roadmap for science education in Horizon Europe v2 (opens in new window)

The deliverable depicts the second version of the elaboration of the roadmap, which proposes strategies and concrete actions to promote science education mainstreaming in funded projects in various EU policy domains as well as to align STEAM education withsociety’s and industry’s expectations.

Report on lessons learnt (opens in new window)

The deliverable displays the analysis and reframing of the evaluation framework for STEAM practices to contribute to the STEAM Roadmap.

First Policy Brief (opens in new window)

The first policy brief will convey the results of the first year of the project to policy makers in a way that is easily understandable and approachable in order to boost the agenda of STEAM in Europe.

Report on real-life use-cases (opens in new window)

The deliverable will contain the description of the implementation and results of participatory action research workshops based on existing projects/practicesthat will have emerged by then as beacons to be fully understood and digested.

Conceptual framework for STEAM (opens in new window)

The deliverable contains a comprehensive conceptual framework for STEAM aiming to cover all its aspects and promised positive impacts, i.e.: the use of artistic approaches to STEM involving creative thinking and applied arts (the “A” in STEAM); moving beyond “just hard science”, by encompassing the world of technology and everyday life aspects which are not always obviously related to science for the student; and reasons why STEAMcan prove particularly useful in the analysed socioeconomic context in order to address the identified needs.

Report on Exploitation Strategy and Actions (opens in new window)

The report will present the exploitation plan and actions defined and carried out by the project partners, including exploitation perspectives envisaged individually and jointly and, a qualitative assessment of the expected impacts.

Research framework (opens in new window)

The deliverable will provide a definition in the very early stage of the project of the relevant corpus of data, and the initial criteria to be adopted.

Communication and Dissemination Plan (opens in new window)

The communication and dissemination plan contains all planned dissemination and communication activities and tools as guideline for the Consortium.

Quality Assurance Plan (opens in new window)

This report defines all project quality control procedures, including a detailed description of project structure (including the Advisory Board setup), quality control mechanisms, documentation control, documentation formats and exchange rules, organisation of meetings, etc.

Analysis of policy gaps for STEAM (opens in new window)

The deliverable will identify and analyse possible gaps and risks in the existing policy context related to STEAM.

Policy recommendations for STEAM (opens in new window)

The deliverable will depict a set of recommendations for the introduction of STEAM in Horizon Europe, as well as on how to overcome the identified policy gaps.

The Road-STEAMer participatory methodology (opens in new window)

The deliverable depicts the methodology for the participation of the stakeholders to the project activities. Among other, the methodology will include a plan for at least 30 project community events (7 major and 23 local events), the Road-STEAMer dialogues, and requirements and co-design for the community technologies of the project.

Mapping of existing STEAM practices (opens in new window)

The deliverable will contain an analysis of existing open schooling and open science projects/practices identified at national level within the network of each of the partners, an analysis of existing STEAM collaboration projects/practices at European level, essentially but not exclusively based on EU funded projects on Open science and Open schooling, as well as the existing meta analysis and research work.

Analysis of conditions and requirements (opens in new window)

The deliverable depicts a comprehensive analysis of the important conditions and requirements for the effective integration of STEAM in science education in Europe, e.g. in relation to curriculum, teacher training, school organization, etc

STEAM roadmap for science education in Horizon Europe v1 (opens in new window)

The deliverable depicts the first version of the elaboration of the roadmap, which proposes strategies and concrete actions to promote science education mainstreaming in funded projects in various EU policy domains as well as to align STEAM education withsociety’s and industry’s expectations.

Road-STEAMer CoP suite (opens in new window)
