CLIMED-FRUIT : Adaptation to climate change and mitigation for perennial crops in Mediterranean Area

Project description

An olive a day keeps climate change away

Grapevine, olive, cherries and lemons are among perennial crops in the Mediterranean area currently facing climate change. Farmers are changing their practices accordingly. The EU-funded CLIMED-FRUIT project aims to share this new expertise, collected from different operational groups across Europe, for a better adaptation to climate change and mitigation. The project will build on the results of nine groups and will be implemented by a consortium of advisors, farmer organisations, and research and education institutes from Croatia, France, Greece, Italy, Portugal, Serbia and Spain. The most applicable solutions will be selected and pitched in a broad online conference.

Objective

CLIMED-FRUIT aims to broaden EIP Operational Group outcomes across borders, in the field of adaptation to climate change and mitigation for perennial crops in Mediterranean Area, by compiling and sharing knowledge ready for practice.
