In 2023, SNETP's communication initiatives gained significant momentum as we effectively expanded our community outreach efforts.
In addition, highlight posts effectively showcased SNETP's participation in key sector events, fostered a focus on research by highlighting various calls for application and informed our members on published SNETP position papers as a feedback to EU consultations on various subjects related to research and energy.
We also promoted and interacted with SNETP-labelled projects and their coordinators to increase the reach and knowledge of Euratom-funded projects. The implementation of the communication strategy has paid off with 1.188 followers on LinkedIn (+125,43%), 145.418 visits on SNETP website (+220,21%). SNETP actively participated in key events throughout the year, including NDE conference, IAEA General conference, ENEF, ENLIT, WNE, SET Plan, the Central & Eastern Europe Nuclear Industry Congress, NERS 2023, Reskill EU, etc.
A new addition to our communication approach this year was the inclusion of video content. Short trailers were created to promote key events, an after-movie for the SNETP Forum was released, and eight interviews were conducted during the SNETP Forum, along with six during the WNE. These videos attracted considerable attention with 1.000 to 4.000 impressions, which had a positive impact on our visibility in the algorithms, especially on LinkedIn. In particular, the most successful videos were viewed up to 650 times, indicating a strong interest in SNETP's content.
In addition, SNETP, in close collaboration together with the European industry (represented by nucleareurope) and the nuclear safety regulators (represented by ENSREG) has contributed created the conditions actively through the European SMR pre-partnership towards for the creation of the European nuclear alliance on SMR that has been announced by the European Commission during the ENEF meeting on November, 2023 in Bratislava. This contribution have been essential, in particular with the publication of the reports worked out with the five work-streams (WS). The WS are devoted to the analysis of the market for SMRs, licencing issues, financing, supply chain adaptation and I&R&D roadmap.
Last but not least the SNETP has been growing 9 new members have joined as full members, namely: Hunatom, EPRI – EU, INRNE, NAAREA, Thorizon, University of Dunaujvaro, Copenhagen Atomics, NEEXT Engineering and Newcleo which brings SNETP to count 123 members out of 21 countries.
