Taxonomy of migrant irregularity

The taxonomy will provide a matrix of different categories of migrants in an irregular or quasiirregular situation and related them to quantitative indicators

Based on a T62 desk review and the T61 workshop this report will provide a nontechnical review of innovative approaches to estimating irregular migration flows and stocks Through a critical reflection on traditional approaches the report will draw attention to new approaches that aim to complement established approaches

Briefing paper: The different uses of data on irregular migration

The briefing paper will identify key themes issues and questions that will inform the participatory workshops

This working paper will review scientific debates on the ethics and politics of numbers in the field of irregular migration

Working paper: A review of concepts of migrant irregularity

This working paper reviews scientific debates on the meaning of migrant irregularity in the contemporary context and proposes an operational concept for the purpose of the MIrreM project
