Plataforma basada en la criptografía para el análisis de datos sanitarios en la Unión Europea
La investigación científica y clínica suele estar fragmentada y puede conducir a resultados poco concluyentes o contradictorios. Por lo tanto, para que las observaciones sean más convincentes, es importante integrar los estudios y compartir los resultados entre distintos grupos de investigación. Sin embargo, esto conlleva sus propias dificultades, ya que los datos pueden ser sensibles o estar sujetos a la normativa del Reglamento general de protección de datos de la Unión Europea. La respuesta viene de la mano del proyecto LEAP, financiado con fondos europeos, que utiliza criptografía avanzada para ofrecer una forma inteligente de analizar datos de múltiples fuentes sin revelar información sensible. La plataforma de LEAP facilita el análisis seguro de datos entre varias partes y ofrece una visión en tiempo real del resultado. Además, puede apoyar la colaboración entre distintas partes interesadas.
Objetivo
Linksight is on a mission to make secure data analytics easy and scalable. We enable our customers to create data driven insights out of distributed datasets, without sharing any sensitive data. How? Through the magic of advanced cryptography such as MPC and blockchain.
We focus on healthcare. The EU healthcare system cannot maintain its affordability and accessibility unless new technologies and new ways of working are adopted, such as telemedicine and eHealth. We need a structured approach to validate which intervention works, and which does not. To get that answer, this requires data sharing between hospitals and insurers. How to bring all that data together while complying with the GDPR?
Our platform solves this issue. We enable hospitals and health insurers to do analytics by themselves and keep control over their own data at all times. No need for third parties, no need for expensive academic data research.
Our female CEO and co-founder Martine started the first exploration of our solution 4 years ago. We co-created a first product together with healthcare organisations, and were the first in NL to perform MPC on real patient data. Martines contribution lies in setting and expressing the long term vision and goals, and to providing structure: she makes sure things get done. In addition she uses her empathic skills, she has a keen eye for everyone’s needs and makes sure everybody is on board. This is especially important, as we enable groups of organizations to collaborate on data.
With this grant we hope to take the next LEAP and achieve 3 things:
1. Make content so we can explain the possibilities of secure data analytics to a variety of stakeholders: from doctors to lawyers to IT-people
2. Improve the onboarding on our platform, so our clients can easily connect to each other and set up a secure data collaborations in just 3 clicks
3. Improve Martine’s own leadership capabilities by learning from other female founders and be coaching and training.
