Periodic Reporting for period 1 - UAinEuratom21 (UA EURATOM NCP SUPPORT OF UKRAINIAN RESEARCH ENTITIES INTEGRATION INTO NUCLEAR RESEARCH FUNDED BY THE EURATOM RESEARCH AND TRAINING PROGRAMME 2021-2025)

UAinEuratom21 is 24 months Coordination and Support Action related to the Euratom Work Programme 2021 – 2022 Call - EURATOM-2021-UKRAINE-TRAINING-INFO-IBA and addressed to support of the Ukrainian ‘National Contact Point (NCP) to Euratom’ (UA Euratom NCP) activities that contribute to better integration of Ukrainian research entities into European nuclear research networks.
There are three specific objectives of UAinEuratom21 project:
• Strengthening the integration of Ukrainian stakeholders in pan-European initiatives and research relevant to all research areas covered by the Euratom Research and Training Programme 2021-2025
• Enhancing of UA Euratom NCP competence,
• Euratom programme awareness raising among Ukrainian stakeholders.
UAinEuratom21 project measurable targets are the following:
Strengthening the integration of Ukrainian stakeholders in pan-European initiatives and research relevant to all research areas covered by the Euratom Research and Training Programme 2021-2025
• Participation in relevant to Euratom events (FISA and EURADWASTE, SNETP/NUGENIA forums, brokerage events,
• Cooperation events with EU Euratom NCPs,
• Twinning schemes,
• EURATOM Info Day in Ukraine - 2023.
Totally, 10 in-person and 10 on-line participations are planned at the Euratom relevant events.
Enhancing of UA Euratom NCP competence
• Trans-national co-operation between Ukrainian ‘National Contact Point to Euratom’ and other Euratom NCPs (2 events),
• NCP staff trainings (4 off-line trainings, 2 on-line trainings),
• NCP benchmarking,
• Participation EU NCPs and Horizon Europe webinars and workshop (6 webinars/workshops).
Euratom programme awareness raising among Ukrainian stakeholders
• UA NCP newsletters (Newsletter in 2022, Newsletter in 2023),
• Ukraine in EURATOM banners (20 electronic and 10 hard banners), NCP leaflets (4 E-leaflets) and other promo materials
• Euratom sections at Ukrainian conferences relevant to Euratom programme (2 conferences),
• UA Euratom NCP web page supporting and upgrading (integration of project pages to UA Euratom NCP web),
• 20 Profiles of Ukrainian entities relevant to Euratom programme,
• 1 Portfolio of Ukrainian entities relevant to Euratom programme,
• UA EURATOM NCP in social network (UA EURATOM NCP in Facebook),
• Publication of materials about Euratom and Ukraine cooperation in a different electronic and hard issues,
• UA Euratom NCP regular workshops (2 workshops),
• Trainings for UA stakeholders (4 trainings).

- The “Euratom NCP in Ukraine Workshop 2022” dedicated to Ukraine’s participation in the Euratom Research and Training Programme was held on October 20, 2022.
“Euratom NCP in Ukraine Workshop 2022” was organized online by the National Science Center “Kharkov Institute of Physics and Technology” and Euratom National Contact Point in Ukraine.
The event was attended by 50 Ukrainian specialists whose activities relate to the areas of work of the Euratom Program, i.e. nuclear and fusion research, innovation and training. The representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Scientist Support Office at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Euratom NCP in Ukraine, research institutes, universities, private and state-owned manufacturing enterprises and the representatives of the project to support European NCPs Euratom “NetEuratom” were among the participants.

The Euratom National Contact Point in Ukraine (Euratom NCP) together with the National Science Center “Kharkov Institute of Physics and Technology” (NSC KIPT) held an Information Day of the Euratom Programme. The event brought together various institutions from Ukraine related to scientific research in the fields of fission and fusion, development of innovations, implementation and operation of nuclear technologies and installations. The total number of participants was 70.

The web-site of the "Euratom National Contact Point in Ukraine" was significantly updated as on of the main communication and dissemination tool of the NCP. It is the most informative NCP website among Ukrainian NCPs. The structure of web-site is adopted for long-term exploitation. It is a good resource for Ukrainian community to know about Euratom programme and its initiatives, events and projects, participation of Ukrainian entities in Euratom, some results of Euratom projects, ongoing projects, forthcoming events, etc. Websites represents Ukrainian entities relevant to Euratom programme research and education areas.
Regular "Euratom National Contact Point in Ukraine" annual workshop became a traditional place for discussion of development EU-UA research and education cooperation within Euratom programme.
"Euratom National Contact Point in Ukraine" training materials in the area of proposal preparation and financial issues was adopted to Horizon Europe programme that allowed to provide four 2-days training sessions for Ukrainian community relevant to Euratom and Horizon Europe programme.
Regular "Euratom National Contact Point in Ukraine" annual workshop became a traditional place for discussion of development EU-UA research and education cooperation within Euratom programme.
