Periodic Reporting for period 2 - NEBULA (New European Bauhaus Unlocked through Built4People-endorsed Local Actions)
Período documentado: 2024-01-01 hasta 2025-03-31
The NEBULA project has been designed to tackle the above challenges and support the B4P partnership as well as the New European Bauhaus initiative. NEBULA established a network of B4P Innovation Clusters (B4PIC) and provided a package of supporting activities to these Clusters to:
1. Improve visibility, adoption and uptake of innovative solutions for the built environment thanks to increased awareness on benefits from innovation and better access to co-financing
2. Foster intensified, cross-sectorial and interdisciplinary peer-learning from front runners as well as cross-border cooperation and networking,
3. Prepare for the long-lasting activities of the network of B4PICs and the integration of future B4PIC.
A B4PIC is a local/regional cluster that addresses the following 6“success factors”: Whole value chain, Multi-objectives, Cross-sectoral, Locally anchored with national and EU outreach, Cross-border, with access to testbeds and demo spaces.
1 Setup/activation of the B4PICs network
2 Blending the NEB approach in B4P Innovation
3 Technical and Open Innovation support
4 Finance help desk and business support
5 Communication and long-term cooperation
In WP1, the value proposition for the B4PIC network was developed and tested. The Charter and evaluation process for the B4PICs was then elaborated, and a call for Expression of Interest was launched. A significant number of applications was collected. This resulted in adding 16 Emerging B4PICs into the B4PIC network.
In WP2, a handbook on the NEB was collaboratively designed. The role of NEB advisors was formalised and the first ones were recruited. The NEB Advisor community then grew to 21 members from 10 countries and met regularly online. A series of five webinars entitled ‘New Bauhaus Stories’ was launched in 2024 to share experiences and insights about the NEB. Success stories from EU funded projects were also developed and released as a brochure.
In WP3, a dedicated Cluster module was launched in the Metabuilding Platform. The first B4PIC "Nouvelle Aquitaine Euskadi" was created by Build:Inn and Odeys. Their Roadmap was then developed, to structure the activities of the 'metacluster'. This Roadmap was also used to develop best-practices and lessons learnt shared with other B4PICs to develop their own roadmap. A 2nd version of the document was developed end 2024, after ICONS joined the metacluster. The B4PIC NAEN organized 2 Workshops in the Euroregion to support local SMEs in their innovation development process. Coaching and capacity building activities for all B4P innovation clusters were also organised. Finally, a booklet featuring innovations from EU-funded projects related to the built environment was released.
In WP4, the financing toolbox was designed, with modules developed and continuously updated in the course of the project. Funding opportunities were disseminated on the Metabuilding Platform. Contacts were established with private investors to strengthen their links with the B4PICs, and three video interviews were produced. Two match-making events were organised. Recommendations, building upon the activities conducted in the finance helpdesk, were finally elaborated.
in WP5, two clustering events were organised with the B4P projects to discuss transversal issues and best practices. An animation video, a final webinar and the replication plan have been delivered. This replication plan provides inputs to STAR*Track, the CSA that will continue NEBULA’s activities. Press releases and newsletters were also regularly published. National events, organised by the Green Building Councils, took place in 6 countries. An in-person final event was co-organised together with other EU-funded projects and gathered a large audience. NEBULA also coordinated the participation of other B4P/ NEB projects and/or clusters to 5 external events and its final event.
A key project outcome is the network of B4P Innovation clusters, which currently brings together 18 emerging clusters and 2 prospective ones
