Deliverables
A Plan for the Exploitation and Dissemination of Results will be developed based on the preliminary matrix. The plan will build on contain information on: (1) key dissemination actors; (2) key messages for target audiences; (3) multi-model mix of communication & dissemination channels; (4) means of reaching target groups; (5) bilateral communication approaches; (6) Key Performance Indicators for each communication action.
Requirements and capacity needs report and recommendations in relation to the monitoring framework (opens in new window)Noting the need to translate the post-2020 biodiversity framework into the national context, this deliverable will identify the specific needs of EU Member States and associated countries (in particular those from Africa) and necessary actions for monitoring and reporting, including areas of possible alignment between the mechanisms in place in CBD and the EU. To assist with this translation, this deliverable will be developed with recommendations on these requirements, with regular revision to include updates and ensure alignment with the evolving CBD processes.

Report setting out mapping of experts/knowledge holders/networks/platforms relevant for technical and scientific cooperation (opens in new window)This deliverable identifies individuals, networks of scientists, practitioners and other knowledge holders, including traditional ecological knowledge holders, with relevant knowledge and experience. Existing platforms, networks and communities of practice addressing relevant topics, also beyond Europe (with a focus on Africa), are included(in close collaboration with the Science Service results from European level) building on previous work done (e.g., KNEU, EKLIPSE) and connections such as with experts involved in IPBES or Biodiversa+.
Report setting out the capacity needs to deliver scientific and technical cooperation (opens in new window)This deliverable will present in a report the outcomes of the study on capacity needs about how technical and scientific cooperation can be a means to deliver capacity-building for the different key groups of this Project and in particular thinking about the different needs of policy, science and practice from each other.

Report on knowledge needs in relation to the CBD prioritised by negotiators including possible emergent issues and knowledge gaps (opens in new window)An extended list of issues relevant to the CBD agenda covered by subsidiary bodies and working groups and of the main priorities for expert support among EU and its Member States and associated countries negotiators. This deliverable may contribute to identifying new and emerging issues that are relevant for CBD, as well as policy issues and knowledge gaps that may hinder progress within the CBD meetings or implementation of the CBD. It will identify what the best formats are to provide expert support to delegations in the preparation and run of CBD meetings.
Roadmap for enhanced accessibility of indicators and data (opens in new window)Based on consultations to understand needs and scope potential opportunities for establishing flows of necessary data and information into target tracking and indicator platforms, this deliverable will be an EU and country-led roadmap of how existing or emerging tools could be better connected to help understand and report on progress made towards implementation, including effectiveness of measures undertaken as appropriate.
Training materials and satisfaction questionnaires that will contribute to the further development of training content (opens in new window)This deliverable will include training materials for the training for experts, that will be held to enable them to participate or support the work of the subsidiary bodies and working groups and provide their expertise as well as actively participate in technical and scientific cooperation. Their content will focus on general topics (history, processes and actors of the CBD), as well as cross-cutting issues and thematic issues aligned with the CBD agenda.
Report on lessons learned for designing and implementing national indicator frameworks (opens in new window)Task 3.2's knowledge exchange process about appropriate indicators at national and regional scale, and training on the tools and data to support monitoring of progress towards national actions will culminate in the production of this deliverable on best practices for establishing and implementing national indicator frameworks, including with respect to potential institutional arrangements that could be considered to facilitate technical and scientific cooperation for their implementation.
A revised data management protocol will consider project development and practices and will be provided ensuring the FAIR principles and an ethical management of data along with secure and safe storage considering both EU, Norwegian and UK legislation.
