This deliverable (linked to T7.2) will support the strategic and effective Dissemination, Exploitation, and Communication (DEC) activities of MBO’s results and findings to all stakeholders including the media and public, while managing IP protection. The detailed PDEC will: a) Identify and profile the target audience for the different project results; b) Define clear objectives and stakeholders’ interests, and tailor the most effective channels, tools and campaign schedules as a means to achieve them; c) Outline the project knowledge management and transfer principles and protocols to ensure effective transfer and exploitation of key exploitable results (KERs); d) Outline the IP protection strategy and intellectual property rights (IPR) management, in coherence with the Grant Agreement, Consortium Agreement and project DMP; and e) Maximise post-project uptake by supporting consortia members to transfer results, defining impact pathways and validating transfer strategies that clearly outline the potential users and applications of the project’s KERs to ensure objective, measurable project outcomes and impacts.D7.4 will be a public document but the consortium will be the main target audience and so it will be a searchable PDF manual.

Revised project data management plan, associated specifications, and supporting tools for data generation and exchange (se abrirá en una nueva ventana)

This deliverable will produce an advancement on D1.1, drawing from both stakeholder engagement (via, e.g. tasks in WP6) as well as internal and collaborative testing and refinement during the execution of Tasks 1.1-1.4. It will reflect the matured state of the project’s data and information management procedures, accompanied by the specifications (of, e.g., data formats, validation procedures, quality control criteria) and tools (e.g. APIs, validation/verification software, data input and submission software) used to facilitate project-to-global data sharing. As such, this deliverable will present the project’s recommendations for the future of European contributions to regional international marine biodiversity data systems. It will also summarise what impact the project has had on advancing and aligning the global biodiversity data systems it engages with.

Joint data and information management plan with key external partners (e.g. OBIS, IODE ODIS, GBIF, INSDC, OBON, ML2030, DITTO) (se abrirá en una nueva ventana)

This deliverable will produce the initial data and information management plan which will ensure that the project’s digital assets are ready for integration with global digital exchange frameworks (e.g. the Ocean Data and Information System of IOC-UNESCO IODE, the EOV specifications from GOOS Panels), aggregators (e.g. OBIS, GBIF), as well as relevant programmes of the UN Ocean Decade (synthesising outputs from T1.1-1.3). This is key to ensure that the legacy and impact of the project is sustained long after its completion, responding to global calls to treat data as a first-class research output. We thus aim to advance the standard of biodiversity data sharing globally, ensuring European digital assets are not siloed away from emerging global frameworks.
