Environmental, cost and social evaluation (opens in new window)

This deliverable will contain (Indicator) the results of the environmental evaluation (T6.2), together with results of the cost evaluation (T6.3) and the social evaluation (T6.4) for the PV solutions to be developed in the project. The environmental evaluation will be based upon LCA calculations using the commercial LCA software package Simapro with the integrated Ecoinvent database. The cost calculations (GW-scale production) will determine the TCO of the individual parts of the value chain, as well as the LCOE of PV modules manufactured using a combination of all steps. The social life cycle assessment will permit to assess the social impacts (e.g., human rights, working conditions, governance, and socio-economic consequences) of IBC4EU products, for various groups of stakeholders (workers, local communities, society, consumers, and value chain actors).
