Multilevel Orders of Corruption in Central Asia

Deliverables

Mid-Term Conference: Corruption in Non-Western Societies - Insights from Central Asia (opens in new window)

Engage at least 50 speakers and stakeholders to share preliminary results from the first 24 months of the project with a variety of academic and non-academic actors. Invite researchers and speakers from outside the network to increase the visibility, networking and dissemination capacity of the project.

Workshop 2: Fieldwork and Data Collection Strategies in (Anti-) Corruption Research (opens in new window)

Discuss preliminary results policy analysis methodology and fieldwork share and discuss results from the first phase involve external researchers and stakeholders training sessions on research methods and academic writing policy legal institutional and historical context analysis

Non-Academic Publications (opens in new window)

During the project, a variety of non-academic publications (e.g. policy briefs, newspaper articles, policy reports, blogs) will be produced. A progress report on the status of non-academic publications will be submitted.

Workshop 4: Interdisciplinary Approaches and Methods to Understanding and Combatting Corruption: Theory, Practice and Policy-Making (opens in new window)

Project members present their project results in a multi-audience format through 3 different presentations for the academic, policy and development sectors. This exercise will serve as preparation for the final MOCCA Conference.

Workshop 3: Law, Society and Corruption in Central Asia (opens in new window)

Present and discuss progress findings, get feedback from academic, non-academic, and invited participants, training on data processing and analysis techniques, and dissemination.

Workshop 1 and Project Kick-off Meeting: Methodological and Ethical Issues in Studying (Anti-) Corruption in Central Asia (opens in new window)

Detail project planning discuss task allocation present the dissemination plan deliver research ethics training and provide an overview of concepts and theoretical debates Divide fellows into respective Research Streams for organising research activities in accordance with the theoretical framework
