Move of the ERA Chair to the host institution

One established ERA Chair position at BC appointed by Prof. Jiří Friml from ISTA. Move of the ERA Chair to the host institution on temporary basis via multiple stays. The Agreement will be concluded in accordance with section 1746(2) of Act No. 89/2012 Coll., the Civil Code as amended. The time requirement of the ERA Chair advisory for Biology Centre CAS corresponds to 32 hours per month during the whole period of project implementation (60 months). The ERA Chair is required to spend at least two full days at Biology Centre CAS every month. Biology Centre CAS as the host institution will pay the ERA Chair the amount of EUR 1,400 for each month of advisory function. The total amount for advisory function will be at least EUR 84,000 including taxes. Biology Centre CAS will also provide the ERA Chair with accommodation and arrange his transport to and from the Czech Republic. All expenses regarding accommodation and travel of the ERA Chair will be covered by Biology Centre CAS.

IPMB Lab Service Unit

An IPMB Lab Service Unit including media kitchen, autoclaving, washing, etc. is newly established and prepared for use by current and newly coming IPMB researchers. Office and laboratory space for new research groups - 60 m2 of office space with 12 working places and 76 m2 of laboratory space with 12 benches are prepared for newly established research groups in plant molecular biology.

IPMB International Advisory Board

Established independent International Advisory Board in plant molecular biology. The ERA Chair and other five outstanding researchers (Asaph Aharoni, Bert De Rybel, Xiaoqi Feng, Julia Santiago Cuellar, Miltos Tsiantis) are appointed members of IPMB IAB.
