Fighting ethnic, racial and religious discrimination

Immigrants and ethnic minorities in Europe experience discrimination in all aspects of daily life, from housing and employment to health and higher education. Measures are needed to address racial, ethnic and religious inequalities, particularly for those between the ages of 18 and 35. In this context, the EU-funded UNDETERRED project will strengthen the fight against the inequalities facing minority groups in the EU. To that end, action research will prioritise the systemic dimension of discrimination and focus on improving knowledge about the norms, procedures and practices producing the inequalities.

Objective

The main objective of UNDETERRED is to strengthen the fight against racial, ethnic and religious inequalities experienced by the younger generation (18-35 years old) of immigrant and national minority populations in Europe. In this perspective, action research will take the systemic dimension of discrimination as a priority. It will focus on improving knowledge about the norms, procedures and practices that produce racial, ethnic and religious inequalities in the EU without 'institutional intentions' in the housing, employment, health and higher education sectors.
