Cerrar la brecha entre la ciencia y la política
El equipo del proyecto DiReCT-GC, financiado por las Acciones Marie Skłodowska-Curie (MSCA), pretende reforzar la conexión entre la investigación científica y la formulación de políticas eficaces. Organizada por la Fundación Española para la Ciencia y la Tecnología (FECYT) en nombre del Ministerio español de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidades (MCIU), la conferencia sobre las MSCA tendrá lugar en Toledo en noviembre de 2023. Este acto pondrá de relieve las contribuciones del las MSCA para abordar los retos mundiales desde una perspectiva local y global. En la conferencia se ahondará en el futuro de las carreras de investigación diversas e inclusivas, haciendo hincapié en su papel de apoyo a las decisiones políticas basadas en evidencias. Los debates interactivos aportarán ideas valiosas para configurar el próximo programa de trabajo 2025-2027.
Objetivo
The project MSCA DiReCT-GC (DIverse REsearch Careers to Tackle Global Challenges) aims at organizing the MSCA conference with the overarching objective of fostering the connection between science and policy making to better address societal challenges. The event, organised by the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT), on behalf of the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation (MCIN) will be held November 14th and 15th 2023 in the city of Toledo, in the University of Castilla-La-Mancha (UCLM) premises.
With the aim of raising the visibility of MSCA and establishing a link with the policy agenda, the conference will address ongoing initiatives in the realm of science for policy, the contributions of MSCA to societal challenges from a global perspective to a local impact, and the future of diverse and inclusive research careers, including professional paths to support evidence-based policy making. The event will also offer enough space for interactive debates on the MSCA main features with the aim of contributing to the upcoming 2025-2027 Work Programme. Finally, a recognition of the MSCA best projects in terms of science for policy contributions will be present in the MSCA Awards Ceremony.
