Periodic Reporting for period 1 - ENLIGHTEN-ED (European iNitiative for Low cost, Innovative and Green High Thrust ENgine - Engine Demonstration)

The project Enlighten-ED aims to speed up validation of innovatives technologies for future high thrust engine around three technologies streams : innovative hydrogen subsystems, extended additive manufacturing and health monitoring systems. The main goal of the project is to prepare these new technology for a full scale fire test campaign and to produce an engine platform to received these technologies. In parallel to the preparation of the engine fire test campaign and test bench.
The first year have a limited but important contribution to the project goal with the preparation activities to have the technologies ready for engine fire test campaign, to implement new maturation plan in Enlighten-ED such as new electrical valves for gas generator lines, and to start the definition of the engine test plan.
Nevertheless several maturation plan have not started due to preliminary works to conlclude in another Horizon Europe project called Enlighten.
The global planning has been share during a project review the 5th of February 20258 giving evidence on the consistancy of all maturation plan to be concluded into a fire test campaign of the engine demo platform.
