Project description
Promoting green and digital transition in the social economy
Social economy organisations (SEOs) promote the values of solidarity, democratic governance and the importance of people over capital, reinvesting most of their profits in sustainable development. The EU-funded SETS project aims to develop, test and disseminate suitable skills development programmes and training modules to promote the green and digital transition of SEOs. The project will use a specific ICT-driven impact assessment and management approach to scale up its findings through other funds (Cohesion Funds, EIT, Interprofessional Funds) and unlock its potential among private and public stakeholders. SETS will also offer digital solutions, innovative technologies and vocational education and training (VET) providers for SEOs, assisting companies in developing skills.
Objective
SETS Project aims at developing, testing and disseminating suitable skills development programmes and training modules, to foster the Green and Digital transition of Social Economy Organisations (SEOs). The project activities will also prepare, through a specific ICT-driven impact assessment & management methodology, future scale-up of the project outcomes through other funds (Cohesion Funds, EIT, Interprofessional funds) and leverage its potential among private and public stakeholders.
SETS will also support the skills development of companies providing digital solutions and innovative technologies and VET providers for SEOs.
The project will follow a work plan based on seven interconnected work packages: management and coordination (WP1), Skill gap analysis (WP2), Development of trainings (WP3), Piloting and testing (WP4), Certification and recognition (WP5), Assessment, promotion and scale-up of the project impact (WP6), Dissemination and communication (WP7).
The rationale for formulating the SETS consortium is based on the creation of a value chain at two levels, national level and European level. The partnership covers 4 countries (BE, IT, FR, SI), but the skill gap analysis will be run at pan-European level as 2 of the beneficiaries are EU-level umbrella organisations or support structures, while the testing and implementing of skills development programmes and training will be carried out in France and Slovenia
The consortium combines:
• DIESIS: A EU Level support structure for SEOs
• ALL DIGITAL: a pan-European association working to enhance digital skills
• TIRESIA Politecnico di Milano: a technology, innovation and research centre for social impact, in Italy
• OPEN IMPACT: an innovative start-up and accredited spin-off of the University of Milano-Bicocca
• SOGA: a French think-tank engaged in the digital transition of SEOs
• PRIZMA: a Slovenian non-profit organisation that develops programmes and projects related to lifelong career orientation.
