The AutoTRUST project has made strong progress in building the foundations for safer, more trustworthy, and user-friendly automated mobility systems. The consortium established solid project management practices to ensure smooth implementation, quality assurance, and risk management. Updated data management plans were also delivered, ensuring that data is handled responsibly, securely, and in line with EU requirements on ethics and privacy.
The AutoTRUST consortium analysed current best practices and gathered user needs to shape the system from a human-centred perspective. This included defining use cases, user requirements, and a User-Centred Design (UCD) methodology. Based on this work, the overall system architecture was designed, ensuring that all components work together effectively and reflect real user expectations, including accessibility and inclusion aspects.
The project delivered initial versions of key technologies, including tools for processing data from multiple sensors (multimodal data), systems for monitoring both the vehicle’s surroundings and the driver’s state, and solutions that adapt to human behaviour. In addition, early versions of a virtual assistant and personalised interaction system were developed, aiming to improve user experience and trust in automated vehicles.
AutoTRUST actively shared its progress through communication and dissemination activities, while also planning how project results can be used in the future. Efforts have been made to identify innovation opportunities and contribute to standardisation, helping ensure that the project’s outcomes can have a lasting impact beyond the project itself.
Overall, 15 deliverables have been completed, reflecting steady progress across all technical and organisational areas.
The consortium reached the following milestones so far:
-MS1: Project operations defined, defined DMP & Ethics, defined, Communication and Dissemination Plan.
-MS2: Data management plan and selection of best practices.
-MS3: Final definition of best practices, use cases, user’s requirements, UCD methodology and AutoTRUST architecture.
-MS4: Initial release of algorithms, tools and methods for multimodal data processing and manage-ment, and the internal and external monitoring and analysis
-MS5: Middle period of periodic report, updated versions of D6.1 and preliminary version of D6.2.
