Extending Techniques in Wall-Crossing and Enumerative Sheaf Theory

Project description

Pushing the boundaries in enumerative sheaf theory research

Enumerative sheaf theory is a branch of mathematics that counts solutions to geometric problems using sheaves, which are objects that systematically capture local data attached to spaces. Funded by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions project, the Ext-WEST project has two goals: first, to discover and apply new uses for recent advancements in this field, thereby providing groundbreaking results. Second, the research aims to develop novel techniques inspired by existing results, extending the range of research questions to be resolved within this discipline.

Objective

The goal of ExtWest (Applying and Extending Techniques in Wall-Crossing and Enumerative Sheaf Theory) is twofold: First, we plan to find and realize new applications of the recent technical developments in the field of enumerative sheaf theory, thereby proving new groundbreaking results. Second, we plan to develop new techniques inspired by the extisting results, and to thereby extend the range of accessible questions in this research area.

Keywords

Project’s keywords as indicated by the project coordinator. Not to be confused with the EuroSciVoc taxonomy (Fields of science)

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Funding Scheme

Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.

HORIZON-TMA-MSCA-PF-GF - HORIZON TMA MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships - Global Fellowships
