ERA - Electric Regional Aircraft

Objective

ERA is an hybrid electric aircraft, propelled by electric engines that are powered by the electricity supplied by batteries and/or the turbogenerators located at the aft of the aircraft.
ERA matches the most advanced needs of the market, and will allow exploitation for decades: stand-up and pressurized cabin, large cargo door, latest avionic, fly by wire enabling flight domain protection.
ERA is Single Pilot Capable, enabling the airlines to cope with the lack of trained pilots and to reduce their operating cost when the regulations allow it.
It can take off and land on short runways (800m) and can operate on unpaved runways.
The four versions of ERA answer most of market needs:
- Passengers, with up to 19 passengers on commercial flights
- Full cargo, with 2 tons of payload and 21m3 of available volume
- Business (8 passengers configuration)
- Special missions (eg: medical evacuation), with ad hoc configuration.
Depending on the configuration, ERA covers distances from 400 up to 1500km.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.

Keywords

Project’s keywords as indicated by the project coordinator. Not to be confused with the EuroSciVoc taxonomy (Fields of science)

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Funding Scheme

Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
