Periodic Reporting for period 1 - FP2-MORANE-2 (Flagship project 2 - MObile radio for RAilway Networks in Europe 2)
Período documentado: 2024-12-01 hasta 2025-12-31
The expected impacts are both strategic and systemic. At scale, the project contributes to enhanced resilience of European systems, reduced external dependencies, increased innovation capacity, and improved cross-border cooperation. By enabling faster adoption of advanced technologies and fostering collaboration between industry, research institutions, public authorities, and civil society, FP-2 MORANE-2 supports the EU’s long-term strategic objectives in security, sustainability, and digital transformation.
Definition of the high-level testing scope by identifying the FRMCS principles, the features and the functional behaviour that needs to be validated and elaboration of FP2-MORANE-2 Test specifications v1.
The project established a comprehensive lab system architecture. A modular and scalable framework was developed to ensure flexibility, future extensibility, and alignment with European standards and regulatory requirements.
Successful system-level integration demonstrating seamless interaction between components and confirming technical feasibility in representative operational lab environments.
The project intends to successfully deliver an integrated, validated technological solution, as a proof of market readiness of the FRMCS architecture.
With appropriate follow-up actions in research, standardisation, financing, and market uptake, the project’s outcomes have the potential to deliver long-term technological, economic, and societal impact at European scale.
FP-2 MORANE-2 aims to deliver a set of integrated technological and methodological results in terms of performance, interoperability, resilience, and future proofness. The project will contribute to significant improvements by introducing:
