Objective
The Deutsches Hygiene Museum is developing a special exhibition, which will take an interdisciplinary look at the idea of evolution. The latest findings and controversies surround modern evolutionary theories will be highlighted. The exhibition aims at promoting the understanding of the mechanisms underlying evolutionary events as well as the understanding of why evolution matters in our daily lives from antibiotic resistance, SARS, genetically modified foodstuffs to creationism.
Both partners wish to work together on the project of shipping the exhibition to Citt della Scienza in order to promote a transfer of information on a subject relevant to both institutions and their audiences. This transfer will support the dialogue between science and society and help to promote a common understanding on issues important for Europe as a whole. The exhibition needs to be transported and adapted to the second venue. Panels, labels and other written materials have to be translated. A website will link both events. The staff needs to be trained in the fundamental issues and specialities of the exhibition.
