Fabrication and development of nanotoxicology-test bacterial arrays for the investigation of antibiotics against multi drug-resistant bacteria

Final Report Summary - NANOTESTS (Fabrication and development of nanotoxicology-test bacterial arrays for the investigation of antibiotics against multi drug-resistant bacteria.)

The final “Nanotest” devices based on the treatment of paper with different fluorinated silane groups developed within the project have the potential to provide control on biomedical fluid handling in 3D, an inexpensive platform for clinical diagnostics, a human-like environment to run toxicological assays o environmental monitoring. Embossed paper-based “Nanotests” are a new class of point-of-care diagnostic devices that are inexpensive, easy to fabricate in large quantities, and appropriate to be used by inexperienced users in developing countries.
