Objective The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is the key global climate science-policy interface, underpinning European and international climate policy making and is the leading body responsible for the scientific assessment of climate change. In preparation of the IPCC 5th Assessment Report, support will be provided to increase the participation of experts from EU countries whose governments are unable to provide appropriate funding, consistent with IPCC practices and from developing countries to the IPCC process and enhance visibility of the IPCC goals in Europe.
