Mid-Term Report Summary - ARITHQUANTUMCHAOS (Arithmetic and Quantum Chaos)
The project explores a variety of topics connecting Quantum Chaos, an emerging discipline which is crossing over from Physics into Pure Mathematics, and the very classical subject of Number Theory, one of the most established disciplines in Pure Mathematics. We have investigated a variety of topics, from statistics of energy levels and wave functions of pseudo-integrable systems, to problems in function field arithmetic and their applications to classical analytic number theory.
