Periodic Report Summary 2 - IDAMME2 (DESIGN AND MANUFACTURING OF AN INNOVATIVE CRYOGENIC WIND TUNNEL MODEL WITH MOTORIZED EMPENNAGE)
Project Context and Objectives:
For period #2 the objective is the complete achievement of the equipped model including the two sets of wings.
Project Results:
The following tasks have been achieved during the period:
> The complete machining of all parts
> The integration of the cryogenic motor
> The instrumentation
> The final dimensional check
> The polishing
> The model final assembly and delivery
Potential Impact:
For the Low Speed Business Jet (LSBJ) concept (Figure1) the benefits at the overall aircraft level at completion are:
> CO2 emissions reduced by 50%,
> Nox emissions reduced by 50%,
> Noise annoyance reduced by 50% (noise level and trajectory)
Our study is integrated in the LSBJ roadmap and will contribute to validate theses figures.
