Objective
The principle aim of the BUMILLA research programme is to create a long term strategic partnership between the School of Engineering & Applied Science at Aston University (AU), the University of Gothenburg School of Business, Economics and Law (UG) and Insero E-Mobility (IEM) an entrepreneurial SME dedicated to changing the international EV landscape through the innovative use of living labs.
The partners enter the project aspiring to strengthen their knowledge and expertise through a cross-disciplinary collaboration aiming at enabling a wider scale take up of EV technologies.
This will be achieved through an exchange of personnel between the two universities and the SME and the temporary recruitment of an experienced researcher.
The project contains a state-of-the-art research programme, systematic knowledge transfer and an impact scheme that collectively has the potential to strengthen the competitiveness of the European Union in the field of EV technology uptake in relation to international competitors.
The research programme contains three overall S&T objectives within the general aim of enabling a wider scale take up of EV technologies:
S&T O1: To conduct multidisciplinary research on product user profiles in living lab product testing (the role of technology architecture)
S&T O2: To develop a framework for business model innovation in living lab settings (the role of business models)
S&T O3: To experiment with public-private partnership (PPP) models supporting a combined technology and business model approach (the role of the coherent framework).
