Objective
The project will increase the knowledge about FP 6 amongst researchers and interested businesses, and by this RoDI will stimulate and facilitate the participation of Romanian organisations in FP 6 projects. The project consists of the following two parts: A: the creation of two high quality networks (one on ICT and one on biotechnology); B: the organisation and implementation of information events: - two annual conferences at national level on FP 6 topics including the innovation and technology transfer dimension of FP 6 - a series of seven regional workshops per year (14 workshops in total) focussing also on FP 6 but taking the regional R&D portfolio into account and providing specific support on proposal preparation. Both parts aim at specific objectives and they are focussing on different target groups. However, there are major links between the two parts. Generally speaking the work foreseen under part B is much broader than the scope of part A. In addition to the two priority fields of FP 6, part B takes on board in particular the issues of research and innovation and of technology transfer. On the other hand the workshops planned in part B will focus on very concrete themes like proposal preparing. These topics will complement some of the issues which will be discussed within the two networks of part A. Part A in contrast to part B is thematically focussed on the two priority areas 1 & 2 of FP 6. However, these priority themes as they are being perceived in Romania as key topics for the future will be also of high relevance for the agenda of the national conferences envisaged. In addition to that, the regional seminars in part B will complement the research orientated workshops within the network activities. These synergies between the two parts of the project will ensure added value within the project results and they will create additional momentum for both the emerging innovation system and Romania s integration process into ERA.
