Objective
The proposed project TECHBRID is aimed at creating prerequisites and technical mechanisms for automated data exchange between existing European online infrastructures and the Russian online infrastructure under development, which should result in stronger integration of Russian and European innovation information resources and better interactions between EU and Russia actors in innovation sphere. The Russian Online Infrastructure for Innovations (ROII) has been constructed as a national digital information space for better communications and interactions between all innovation actors, including different types of agency from R&D, industry, finance, government, and etc. ROII is being created in the framework of the SININ project (2003-2005). SININ as an allied project will supplement the content of TECHBRID project with resources about Russian innovation supply and demand.
Technical experience and tools of another running project, SOCIONET, will be employed in TECHBRID to bridge different types of EU and Russia online resources/services using the method of virtual integration for different types of online information resources/services in the field of social sciences. The core of the TECHBRID project team was also involved in the implementation of the SININ and SOCIONET projects as its main executors.
