Mentoring of lifescihealth-multipliers in the accession candidate countries

Objective

Exploiting methodologies, developed by them in the IST-Mentor project, EU multipliers, with the help of local NCPs for LifeSciHealth, will identify and mentor candidate LifeSciHealth multipliers, in 11 ACCs - BG, CZ, CY, EE, LT, LV, PL, RO, SI, SK, TR. The se LifeSciHealth multipliers will be coached to reinforce and amplify the services of the NCPs for LifeSciHealth in the respective ACCs. Each EU partner will establish a liaison with several local candidate multipliers, in several participating ACCs, provi ding continued bilateral training, tutoring and support, in collaboration with the local NCPs. The LifeSciHealth multipliers from the ACCs will attend mentoring workshops exposing them to FP6 and its instruments and to the LifeSciHealth Priority Workprogra mme. Each couple, of EU partner and LifeSciHealth multiplier, will thereafter engage in a bilateral mentoring action, in which the former will transfer knowledge and hands-on experience to the latter, to be followed by continued support and tutoring via an eMentoring facility. The LifeSciHealth multipliers selected will be coached in the requirements and rulings of FP6, so as to facilitate their assistance to local LifeSciHealth enterprises - and to entities wishing to adopt LifeSciHealth - to participate a nd respond to Calls for Proposals within the LifeSciHealth Priority. The Consortium will assist the LifeSciHealth multipliers in the ACCs (bilaterally and jointly) in: assisting ACC entities to build or join STREP, CA, IP or NoE proposals, together with EU partners for the LifeSciHealth Priority.
