Final Report Summary - DECISIONS (Choices and consumption: modelling long and short term decisions in a changing world)
The ERC funded DECISIONS project was a large cross-disciplinary project aimed at pushing the boundaries of the state-of-the-art in choice modelling, a mathematical technique used to represent human decision-making, used across different research fields. DECISIONS led to substantial improvements in the available toolbox of models, especially in relation to the incorporation of ideas from mathematical psychology, bridging the gap between psychological insights and applied implementations of behavioural models. In addition, improvements were made to the applicability of advanced models in large scale studies through the development of more efficient estimation and application techniques. Finally, a major output is the development of Apollo, a leading free software package for estimation of choice models.
