Cospas Sarsat T001 for ELT-DT
The AEEC has formed on 2017 the Global Aircraft Tracking (GAT) Working Group to prepare standards applicable to the ICAO Global Aeronautical Distress and Safety System (GADDS). Several technologies may contribute to positive aircraft tracking. This includes the Cospas-Sarsat ELT Distress Tracking and others. The goal is to propose solutions that can positively identify and track an aircraft with minimal impact on aircraft production and retrofit.

Cospas Sarsat T007 for ELT-DT & RLS
From a EUROCAE decision on Oct 2017 WG98 SG1 has been tasked to develop a Minimum Aviation System Performance Specification MASPS for Return Link Service RLS of Aircraft Emergency Locator Transmitters ELTs The MASPS will cover the function to trigger ELT transmission from the ground and define high level concepts and typical functional interface requirements between the ELT and the ground emergency triggering element The MASPS will also be useful in the ICAO context Annex 6 and CospasSarsat environment
