Summary of the context and overall objectives of the project

The Project Number 711367 (Project Acronym WIDGET 3.0) has three main objectives: a) Increase the number of donations (increasing the conversion rate and the average donation amount); b) cover the whole e-retailers segments, going through ecommerce to digital banking and also passing to physical POS and retailers, covering different types of billing systems, vending systems and payment systems; c) use process automation for increase our platform scalability and reduce operating costs.

Worldcoo vision is to become the worldwide leading tech tool in funding high social impact projects and causes. In 2016 we opened new fundraising channels and we have passed now the 100 projects funded in more than 20 countries, having raised more than 540.000€ for social projects and causes.

In that sense, the WIDGET 3.0 Project is helping us achieving our objectives, developing new channels of fundraising, growing in different markets of the EU and also helping NGOs and charities from different markets of the EU.

Work performed from the beginning of the project to the end of the period covered by the report and main results achieved so far

Work packages 3.2 3.3 3.4 4.1 4.2 and 4.3 had been successfully completed in this reporting period. Also work package 2.3 which was delayed during reporting period 1 is now successfully completed.

Overall results are promising, specially for payment retailers (physical POS) to integrate our donation’s API into their payments process. We have now some customers live with round up at POS and a lot more in the backlog of integratins.

Progress beyond the state of the art and expected potential impact (including the socio-economic impact and the wider societal implications of the project so far)

As per the potential of the POS solution, we expect for 2018 about 3,5M in donations.
As these volumes are expected to have two digits growth during next years we believe that this solution could have a significant impact on society in the near future.
