An integrated interdisciplinary approach to animal-free chemical and nanomaterial safety assessment

Resultado final

Hands-on technical workshops

A series of workshops will take place at beneficiaries or partner facilities to allow handson practical training in key areas ESRs will be expected to attend at least two of these training courses These will be organised in smaller groups with a maximum of 6 participants and will where possible be run in parallel on two occasions The workshops will last a minimum of 5 days 2 ECTS

PhD awards

ESRs will ultimately be awarded their PhD degrees

Distribution of Recruitment advertisement and application form

Add recruitment advertisement and application form to the in3 web-page and other job searching services such as Nature Jobs.

Network-wide face to face training events

We will organize 6 training courses allowing all ESR to participate in them The training courses will be in line with the project objectives and timescales and will be held as 2 day courses after the biyearly facetoface meetings

On-line learning series

An online lecture series will be setup to provide background information to the field of animal free safety assessment and also to create an interactive case study where practical skills will be fostered and trained The courses will takeplace from M13M20 at allocated time slots of no more than 2 hours per day to facilitate ESRs research activities The courses will be allowed overlap Course material will be provided before commencement Lectures will be recorded with documentation and outcomes and placed on the in3 webpage If the instructor allows the recorded courses will be added to the in3 YouTube channel The courses provided are listed below Total 122 hrs and 49 ECTS These courses will be supplemented by courses requested by ESRs or even courses given by ESRs We will keep in mind the possibility of creating a massive open online course MOOC for beyond lifetime of the project

Establish in3 web page

We will create the in3 website, which will facilitate both internal and external communication containing, description of the project, an ESR recruitment call, training programs, training material (slides from the courses, exercises), links to software, relevant training literature, FAQ on 3R-alternative methods or relevant websites e.g. Alttox.org, schedule of in3 events and information on the partners. P5 will be responsible for the technical organisation of webinars. The results of the project will be disseminated at local meetings and international conferences via poster presentations and oral communication. Results will be published in peer reviewed scientific journals. A yearly report summary will be generated and published online and disseminated to members of existing networks such as EUROTOX, ESTIV, SEURAT-1 and the EPAA (European partnership for alternatives approaches, a public-private partnership between European commission and the industry). A version of this will be translated and sent to local press agencies.
