Dynamics of avian influenza in a changing world

Deliverables

Report on database of ornithocoenosis data

A short summary describing the progess in developing a database to create species distribution models (SDM) to produce maps for each bird species showing the likelihood of presence of wild waterfowl around poultry farms, and for wild birds most likely to act as “bridge” species between wild waterfowl and poultry farms to determine the risk of avian influenza introduction into poultry sector through contact with wild waterfowl or bridge species.

Report on database of avian influenza outbreaks in EU since 2005, including genetic data of viruse

A short summary describing the progess in development of a database and exploration of data through classic statistical and spatio-temporal analysis techniques to determine spatial and temporal trend in avian influenza outbreaks, including any unexpected aggregations.

Report on standardization of experimental infection protocols

A short summary of research data describing the progress in standardization of experimental infection procedures to allow comparison of results of experiments between consortium partners.
