Expected results were 1. check how ICTs are being used on European dental courses, 2 Produce dental educational content, 3 Understand what dental content students want to watch, 4 find European dental schools interested in collaborating and 5 disseminate the results to scientific and non-scientific communities. At the end of the period, the Project range was expanded to worldwide. Several surveys were sent to dental students in different countries. England, Wales, France, Greece, Brazil, Chile, Ivory Coast and Australia students have already responded. USA, Spain, Italy and Malaysia are still obtaining ethical permission. Dental education videos were produced. Teachers were trained and the guidelines designed were presented during the European Dental Association Annual Meeting. The proposal of a postgrad course on innovation in education is being elaborated. Social media was used to spread the findings, we have presented a Workshop in Malaysia and invited by Euraxess to present a webinar. Non-scientific community participate actively during the Green Heart event at the University of Birmingham and the Open wide exhibition at Birmingham Dental Hospital, called “Filling like a Dentist” (1/7/19 until 1/10/19). Three papers were published in peer-reviewed journals and one book chapter was published, but scientific publications are still in progress. The project developed guidelines for future video creation by educators and translation to other disciplines is possible. The ER learned a range of multidisciplinary skills including video creation, qualitative research methodology and soft skills. The host institution benefited from how to embed ICT into dental education and with new partners. The improving of the online video content quality will benefit dental students, teachers, and patients.
