The COHESIVE project, which aimed to demonstrate the integration and demonstration of IT solutions for attractive railway services, has successfully achieved its objectives. The project team focused on defining the best engineering practices to be used across the different IP4 projects, as well as coordinating and consolidating the IP4 ecosystem architecture using the Capella modelling tool. Through contributions from all IP4 projects, the team was able to integrate and demonstrate the three main IP4 releases (Alpha, Beta, Final).
The COHESIVE project also played a crucial role in driving the joint definition of demonstrations and pilot executions, having monthly interaction with transportation players in Europe. In collaboration with Shift2MaaS and Ride2Rail projects, the team successfully executed pilots in several European cities and was able to plan and define 6 new pilot projects associated with IP4MaaS projects to be run in 2023.
In addition to executing pilots, the COHESIVE project team also actively participated in several Shift2Rail innovation day’s events and held 6 summits with the IP4 advisory board. The team also conducted several workshops to gather partners' feedback for the route to market reports and exploitation definition.
The project was widely disseminated through the publication of 4 newsletters and participation in various international conferences, including Innotrans2018, TRA2018, The Future of Transportation 2019, UITP GTPS 2019, ITS2020, WCRR2022, CED 2022, Innotrans2022, and TRA2022. The COHESIVE team also published several papers in international conferences such as ITS2020, WCRR2022, and TRA2022.
Finally, the project culminated in the execution of the final event in Toulouse, where all the results obtained by the project were exposed. The COHESIVE project demonstrated the feasibility of integrating and demonstrating the IT solutions for attractive railway services and laid the foundation for future developments in this field.
