Fundamental structural and optical properties of ALD deposited metal oxide (ZnO and ZnO/Al2O3 nanolaminates) and metal oxide/Au nanostructures deposited on 1D nanofibers templates will be revealed. A single metal oxide layer thickness influence to amorphous-to-crystalline transitions, size quantum confinement effect and its influence to crystallinity, optical absorbance and photoluminescence will be reported. An effect of chemical composition and architecture of 1D nanofibers templates (PAN, gelatine, PLA, etc.) to fundamental properties of the ALD deposited nanostructures will be analyzed.
