The smartest non-energy aeration system for water cleaning facilities

Periodic Reporting for period 1 - OxTube (The smartest non-energy aeration system for water cleaning facilities)

Período documentado: 2017-12-01 hasta 2018-01-31

Clean water with natural balance of gases and minerals plays a central role in the quality of life of people, their health and contributes for higher life expectancy. Despite that, there is less and less drinking and clean water available, being used by more and more people. With the advancement of technology and industrial growth, fresh water resources all over the world are threatened. Therefore, those who provide solutions for wastewater treatment play a major role in returning clean, safe water back to its source. Current water and wastewater treatment facilities face several challenges, such as: high energy and operational costs, low efficiency rates and the disposal of excess sludge produced during wastewater treatment and its footprint.
Considering the results of the feasibility assessment, it is worthy to follow up with the implementation of an industrialization and commercialization plan. Further funding is required to complete the planned activities, including the design of the production line and the realization of the trials. The Company deemed the Phase 2 SME Instrument funding as a viable channel to raise the investment required.
During the feasibility assessment, SansOx has completed a full analysis of the technical and business potential of their OxTube. Throughout the project, SansOx has greatly expanded their knowledge regarding the certification validation and regulatory approval required for the European market launch. The feasibility study showed that OxTube is viable technically and commercially, determining the business project to be a profitable investment.
The trials were defined with the key objective of demonstrating the effectiveness and efficacy of the system, to decrease costs and the use of chemicals, and increase the overall efficiency of the wastewater and water treatment processes. Following, the results of the trials, SansOx will submit the necessary documentation for approval and CE marking.
SansOx analysed in detail the go-to-market strategy and the customer segments to define the approach for accelerated and effective market uptake. The company selected Finland, UK, Spain and France, as the primary markets to target, thanks to the already existing contacts that the company has. SansOx’s strategy is based on sales through well renowned distributors in the field of waste and water treatment, favoring the company to achieve a fast introduction in the market. The overall vision of SansOx’s management team is to deliver the complete OxTube to the first European customers by 2021.
To gain visibility and establish meaningful connections with key industry players and influencers, SansOx will produce a series of promotional material. The material will cover website and social media updates, videos, and articles clearly relaying information on the OxTube, the project progress, trials outcomes, testimonials and the benefits and impact of using the OxTube system.
The OxTube is a system that combines in pipe oxidation, mixing, and cavitation for the water and wastewater treatment plants. Thanks to the Oxtube, customers will benefit from: massive savings on energy costs, less chemical used for water treatment, less space needed in infrastructure and savings in equipment costs, as well as improved aeration and removal of contaminants present in water. Ultimately, OxTube will benefit the society by bringing clean water to all.
