The Neural and Network Dynamics of Social Influence Across Adolescence

Project description

How social information impacts adolescent behaviour

It is not uncommon to ask for the opinion of others before making an important decision. In some situations, our choices are shaped by the behaviour of others without realising it. Social media seems to also play a key role in our choices. With a focus on adolescents, the EU-funded Social Smart project will shed light on the role of social information in adolescent behaviour by developing a new theoretical framework that will be formalised in novel computational models. The project will also look at the role brain development plays in this process.
