Project description
A big boost for Zagreb’s additive manufacturing
Additive manufacturing (AM) technologies have been met with enthusiasm in Europe. However, more specialists are needed. The EU-funded INEX-ADAM project will bridge networking gaps and deficiencies among UNIZAG FSB, one of the Faculties of the University of Zagreb, Croatia, and internationally leading EU institutions by reinforcing the excellence and innovative capacity for research in the field of AM within the Centre of Additive Technologies (CATeh). The project will promote intensive collaboration research with LTH, MUL, AIDIMME, and UBRUN, strengthen the synergy among research institutions, and raise the staff's research profile of the CATeh. INEX-ADAM will target three strategic research domains: Advanced Design for Additive Manufacturing, Medical Modelling for Additive Manufacturing and Material Modelling for Additive Manufacturing.
Objective
Main goal of the INEX-ADAM project is to reduce networking gaps and deficiencies among UNIZAG FSB and internationally leading EU institutions, by significantly strengthening the excellence and innovative capacity for research in the field of Additive Manufacturing (AM) within the Centre of Additive Technologies (CATeh), as integral part of UNIZAG FSB. INEX-ADAM project will increasing S&T capacity and help raise staff's research profiles in advanced fields of AM through intensive collaboration research with institutions: LTH, MUL, AIDIMME and UBRUN. Project specific objectives will encompass strengthening the synergy among research institutions, strengthening scientific and innovation capacity and raise staff's research profile of the CATeh, within three strategic research domains: Advanced Design for Additive Manufacturing – products and tools, Medical Modelling for Additive Manufacturing and Material Modelling for Additive Manufacturing, and increasing CATeh and UNIZAG FSB, national and international impact and visibility. In INEX-ADAM project, CATeh (UNIZAG FSB) is the participant with needs in advanced knowledge from strategic AM research domains. In order to be able to keep up with world trends in AM field, CATeh researchers will during INEX-ADAM project, through cooperation with project partners, leading international institutions, acquire additional knowledge for advanced application of AM. INEX-ADAM will rely on intensive knowledge transfer and training of CATeh researchers with international leading institutions and their resources as well as on ADAM - joint platform of five EU institutions, project partners. Platform will serve as driver for new level of cooperation, knowledge, expertise and business opportunities through strong synergy effect and impact on all members and stakeholders, thus foster more advanced application of AM in the fields of engineering, design and medicine.
