The Next Billion Musicians: Leading the Digital Disruption of Music Education

Project description

Get online to learn to sing and play music

Want to learn to play guitar, bass, piano, ukulele and vocals online? There’s an app for that. It’s called Yousician. It’s the largest music educator in the world, counting over 25 million people in 154 countries. This mobile service uses advanced audio technology and game-like design combined with music exercises to motivate learners, offering the benefits of private lessons, guidance and feedback, and self-learning methods. To further support and grow Yousician, the EU-funded NextBillionMusicians project aims to make music education available to a billion new people. It will increase the product range by adding more instruments, syllabi for advanced users and localisation to several languages. It will also build readiness to scale up in global markets.
