Revised VCU protocols to include new methods (genomics, phenomics) and characters

Revised wheat VCU protocols will be summarised in a report. Included will be genomic markers and thresholds, phenomic markers, and enviro-genomic models, as appropriate, for the assessment of variety performance.

A high level review and roadmap will be developed for policy level use.

This report will provide a road map on how new methods could be applied to the crop sub-set. Collaboration with INVITE is anticipated in the task relating to this report.

Assessment of the value of genetic profiles and GSVs for selection of reference varieties for DUS

This relates to task 3.3 and a protocol will be produced for the use of genetic profiles and GSV threshold values for augmenting DUS protocols (reference variety selection).
